About The Position

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Northeastern University, in collaboration with Blueprint Medicines, is a two-year fellowship aimed at advancing the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates in various aspects of the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in Global Medical Affairs. The fellowship provides an opportunity to engage in projects that enhance understanding of disease states, product data, and industry regulations while working cross-functionally with various departments to improve patient outcomes through scientifically balanced communication.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution.
• Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop a proficient understanding of Global Medical Affairs.
• Analyze, develop, and deliver scientifically-balanced data to healthcare providers.
• Engage in projects to learn and understand disease state and master product data.
• Work cross-functionally to strategically plan and develop medical information letters and scientific communication materials.
• Collaborate with marketing, legal, and regulatory to review promotional materials for scientific accuracy.
• Deliver responses to escalated inquiries and ensure training on updated product information.
• Support publications by identifying data gaps and executing publication plans.
• Develop and present training materials for Medical Information call center and field medical teams.
• Engage in the exchange of data and knowledge related to clinical research and therapeutic trends.
• Work with the Field Medical Affairs Team to understand thought leader engagement and territory management.
• Staff medical information and pipeline booths at scientific congresses.
