About The Position
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. Our research focuses on developing advanced computational toolkits for radiation biology and medical physics applications in radiotherapy. Our group's research topics include, but are not limited to: Developing advanced computational toolkits for radiation biology simulation, including microdosimetry/nanodosimetry. Developing and implementing fast Monte Carlo radiation transport simulations for treatment machines and biological media. Developing and applying deep learning techniques in radiotherapy. Exploring multiscale modeling and digital twin applications in radiotherapy. The Postdoctoral Research Scientist will join a dynamic team of medical physicists and clinicians, participating in unique opportunities to develop and apply advanced computational tools for scientific discovery and to make a direct impact on patient care in a clinical setting.
