The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research activities on insect midgut biology in arthropod systems within a contained laboratory environment. The role involves designing and performing proteomic, transcriptomic, imaging, and physiological experiments to elucidate factors critical for nutrient transport and successful feeding. The associate will be responsible for the collection of data, maintaining detailed records of results, and utilizing computer programs and databases for analyses. Additionally, the position requires evaluating the nutritional status of various engineered strains of gene-edited or transgenic insects, drafting figures, preparing research manuscripts, and presenting findings at conferences. The associate will also train and supervise research support staff and perform other duties as required.
