About The Position

The Sarver Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Arizona is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate with a strong interest in cancer therapy-induced cardiac toxicity, with a specific focus on DNA damage response (DDR) signaling pathways. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in DNA repair mechanisms, radiation biology, and molecular/cellular biology techniques, as well as experience in animal handling and microscopy, including fluorescence and confocal imaging. Additional experience in multi-omics approaches (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) applications in biomedical research will be considered a strong advantage. Requirements

  • PhD or MD conferred by the start date and 0-2 years of experience at Postdoc rank.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Develop research projects and perform experiments within the Sarver Cardiovascular Research Center.
  • Train and supervise intern, undergraduate, medical, and graduate student lab members.
  • Work as a member of the principal investigator's research team and contribute novel hypotheses, ideas, and develop novel methodologies.
  • Contribute and participate in the authorship of research publications and presentations.
  • Collect, analyze and graph data, conclude research projects in a timely manner, write reports, and manuscripts.
  • Engage in career development activities, apply for dedicated funding and contribute to lab-based grant proposals.
