About The Position

As one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, Texas A&M Health encompasses five colleges and numerous centers and institutes working together to improve health through transformative education, innovative research and team-based health care delivery. The College of Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. Requirements

• Appropriate PhD in a related field
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
• Ability to communicate with others
• Ability to mentor and train junior students or undergraduate research students in the laboratory
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform standard molecular biology, tissue culture, and animal related studies

Nice To Haves

• One year of research experience in molecular biology and mouse models

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise
• Utilizes knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and expertise to complete research projects in their field of expertise
• Conduct experiments and intensively participate in data analysis and preliminary data collection
• Analyzes research data and summarizes results
• Collect, compile, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions
• Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications
• Assist in managing the breeding and genotyping of animal's colonies
• Assists with the preparation and cleaning of worksite
• Order and prepare buffers and research reagents as needed and keeps a log
• May assist, mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project
• Guide new lab members and undergraduate students
• May train users on the preparation and data management of research equipment
• Prepares presentation materials on research topic that may be presented to small and/or large groups
• Actively participates in the preparation of required technical progress reports to research sponsors
• Participate in poster and podium presentation of the collected results
• Provide support for establishing a workshop for inter professional education
• Written reports including abstracts & manuscripts for publications) of research findings and literature search, as/when requested
