There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The laboratory of Dr. Steven J. Ackerman, in association with the labs of Drs. Vadim Gaponenko, Sojin Shikano and Jalees Rehman in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in the College of Medicine at University of Illinois Chicago, is seeking a motivated post-doctoral candidate to work on the development of novel chemokine receptor biased antagonists targeting neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and memory loss in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's Disease (AD). We have a new grant from the Alzheimer's Drug Development Foundation (ADDF)-Harrington Foundation Scholar Award to further develop novel CCR3-targeting peptides and small molecule biased antagonists as therapeutics that inhibit neuroinflammation, an early and chronic component in the development of AD. The candidate will work on this project as well as therapeutics targeting other chemokine receptors of interest in AD pathogenesis.
