A data science postdoctoral research associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Christian Meyer. The Meyer Lab in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is currently recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in reimagining how we discover and deploy drug combinations in the clinic. Our work is highly interdisciplinary, integrating big data analysis, state-of-the-art machine learning models, mathematical modeling, and systems biology to elucidate the mechanisms of drug interactions in complex biological systems, with a particular focus on infectious disease and cancer. This position offers access to state-of-the-art computation resources available at St. Jude (HPC environment with 5.3 PFLOPS of power and 150 PB of storage capacity). Candidates with experience in developing machine learning or mathematical models are particularly encouraged to apply. We are seeking highly motivated, creative scientists who are willing to take intellectual risks to shape the future of combination therapy, thereby contributing to the institution’s goal of developing cures for catastrophic childhood diseases.
