About The Position

The Blanchard Laboratories at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) in New York City is seeking exceptional Postdoctoral Scholars to join our team. This opportunity involves industry sponsored research in functional validation of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) associated risk variants in iPSC vascular cells and organoid. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to a groundbreaking project utilizing genetic engineering validation in iPSC-derived vascular models . You will be responsible for Differentiating iPSCs into vascular cells using established protocols, developing and maintaining brain organoids from iPSCs, designing experiments to validate the functionality and characteristics of iPSC-derived vascular moels (CRISPR-edited lines) within the organoid model. developing and optimizing protocols for co-culturing iPSC-derived vascular cells with AD organoids and perform functional validation experiments using established as well novel functional assays. We're looking for motivated researchers with strong collaborative skills and a passion for AD disease.
