Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Nuclear/Hadronic Physics at Indiana University The Nuclear Theory Group in the Department of Physics at Indiana University Bloomington (IU) invites applications for a postdoctoral research position under the supervision of Dr. Sebastian Dawid. The appointment may begin as early as August 1st, 2026 (with flexible start dates), for an initial term of two years, with the possibility of extension to a third year based on performance and funding. The IU Nuclear Theory Group consists of four faculty members, several postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students. Current research areas include: hadronic amplitude analysis and scattering theory, heavy-ion collisions and the properties of hot QCD matter, hadronic probes of beyond-the-Standard-Model physics, and formal developments in lattice QCD . A Ph.D. in theoretical high-energy or nuclear physics is required by time of appointment. Research experience in one or more relevant areas, including lattice QCD , effective field theory, hadronic/nuclear scattering, is preferred. Applications, including a CV, a statement of research interests and future plans, and three letters of reference, should be submitted through the application portal located at: https://indiana.peopleadmin.com/postings/30550 Review of applications will begin on November 15th, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled.
