About The Position

The Department of Health Services Management and Policy at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is seeking two full-time Postdoctoral Fellows to join the Center for Applied Research and Evaluation in Women's Health (CARE Women's Health). This role focuses on advancing reproductive health care and policy through research and evaluation, providing an opportunity to enhance research skills while contributing to impactful projects aimed at improving health outcomes for women. The fellows will work closely with the Principal Investigator and collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, assisting in various aspects of funded reproductive health research projects.

Requirements

• PhD, DrPH, ScD, or an equivalent degree in public health, social sciences, statistics, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge and experience in quantitative research and evaluation methodologies for the social sciences.
• Ability to use SAS, Stata, or R statistical software packages for data management and analysis.
• Proficiency in scientific and technical writing and program evaluation.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience participating in research in women's health, reproductive health, and/or maternal and child health fields.
• Experience in management and analysis of large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research and evaluation related to reproductive health care and policy.
• Manage and analyze data for funded research projects.
• Assist in the direction of graduate students involved in research.
• Collaborate with senior and early career researchers on various projects.
• Contribute to the Choose Well Evaluation grant deliverables.
• Participate in advanced training in reproductive health research and policy.
• Publish peer-reviewed journal articles and present at conferences.
• Develop skills in project conceptualization, execution, and strategic dissemination.
