About The Position

The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor as part of an established research program. This entry‑level postdoctoral position is intended for individuals who have recently completed a terminal doctoral degree and are seeking advanced research training. The fellow will contribute to experimental design, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of research findings while developing skills necessary for an independent research career.

Requirements

• Ph.D., M.D., or other terminal doctoral degree in a relevant scientific or professional field (degree must be completed prior to appointment start date).
• Foundational knowledge of electrophysiology, assay development, biochemistry, confocal imaging and other research methods in the discipline of pharmacology.
• Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in accordance with established protocols and research goals.
• Design and execute experiments or studies with faculty supervision.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data.
• Maintain accurate and complete research records and documentation.
• Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Participate in lab meetings, departmental seminars, and research training activities.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and trainees.
• Adhere to all institutional, state, and federal research compliance regulations.
• May assist in training or mentoring students or research staff, as appropriate.
