The role focuses on understanding how bacterial factors, outer membrane vesicles, or biofilms interact with host immunity to establish persistent colonization or infection. The successful candidate will lead a research project investigating these interactions at the molecular level, collaborating with a diverse team of scientists.

Requirements

  • Recent PhD in microbiology, immunology, innate immunity, mammalian cell biology, or microbe-host interactions.
  • Direct experience in applying basic laboratory techniques related to microbiology and immunology.
  • Experience with culturing and genetic manipulation of microbiota, immune cells, organoids, imaging, and microscopy techniques.
