About The Position

The Postdoctoral Fellow for Sport Psychology at the University of North Carolina Charlotte is a temporary full-time position designed for recent Ph.D. recipients to enhance their research skills and gain practical experience in the field of sport psychology. The role involves working closely with collegiate student-athletes, providing mental health and sport performance services, and receiving mentorship from a licensed professional. Requirements

• Must have recently been awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Completion of an APA-accredited internship prior to the fellowship start date.
• Demonstration of a completed dissertation by the end of spring semester 2025 is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Gain specialized experience in team and individual sport performance.
• Consult with coaches, staff, and sports medicine colleagues regarding student behavior and mental health issues.
