Obtain cryo-ET 3d images of the bacterial secretion systems. This includes preparing samples, recording tilt-series, calculating 3d reconstructions, producing sub-tomogram averages, building integrative atomic models, and writing papers and grants.

  • Ph.D. in Microbiology, Cell Biology, or Structural Biology. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Experience with cell culture and molecular biology.
  • Ability to learn Cryo-ET theory and practice.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Sound reasoning, social, writing, and verbal skills.
