The position focuses on investigating the role of pathogens in neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory diseases, with an emphasis on viral contributions to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and microbial involvement in age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The lab integrates human tissue studies with in vivo mouse models and cutting-edge imaging and sequencing technologies.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a PhD in Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • Candidates should have a strong publication record or demonstrated potential to publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with microscopy, animal models, human tissue research, virology/microbiology, or sequencing is highly desirable.
