The research will be studying skeletal muscle biology and function in regulating other tissues, using cellular, molecular, and model animal (transgenic mice) approaches. Specifically, the postdoctoral research associate will design and implement experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize the study as presentations and manuscripts. The Postdoctoral Appointee holds a PhD or equivalent doctorate (e.g. ScD, MD, DVM). Candidates with non-US degrees may be required to provide proof of degree equivalency. The term of the appointment is limited and involves substantially full-time research or scholarship, which may include teaching responsibilities. The Postdoctoral Appointee functions under the supervision of a mentor or a department at Duke University and is expected to publish the results of their research or scholarship during the period of the appointment.
