This position focuses on the research and development of novel radiation detectors and associated edge-computing circuits and algorithms for X-ray, particle, and nuclear physics experiments. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary co-design team spanning material science, computing, and electronic engineering, with the goal of enabling next-generation detector capabilities. This position involves close collaboration with researchers at Argonne National Laboratory and Northwestern University as part of the BIA microelectronics project.
