About The Position
This internship position is a full-time summer internship position for on-site work with NREL’s Battery Materials Group within Materials Science Center starting in June of 2025. The intern will do the following: Synthesize battery anode (silicon) materials in an air-free environment. Assemble coin cell (both half and full cells). Perform electrochemical characterization of cells using potentiostats, battery cyclers, and other equipment. Analyze characterization and electrochemical data.
