The Post-Surgical Service Technician acts as a service technician by delivering equipment ordered by physician , and training patient in use; offers additional products as needed such as custom orthotics (ex. Ligament bracing). Communicates with patients providing them with co-insurance amounts and collects co-pays. Follows up with patients to ensure their satisfaction with the products and arranges pick-up for rental items. Works closely with the Post-Surgical Sales Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provides thorough instructions on how to use equipment to patient and family.
- Picks up equipment in a timely manner .
- Travels to patients’ homes, hospitals, nursing homes, PT/OT clinics.
- Calls patients prior to surgery to describe products ordered for them; explain financial responsibilities .
- Collects co-insurance payments from patients.
