Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing

As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives communication and data processing transformation to help create a smarter, connected future for all. As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power world class products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional groups to determine product execution path.

  • Perform Silicon bring-up, measure Post-Si Vmin/Fmax, Power, thermal data, correlate, characterize and analyze at the system level across various PVTs and SoC IPs
  • Debug low-level software and hardware issues, utilizing various debug tools like JTAG and kernel debuggers
  • Manage emulation builds, run tests, identify failures and performance issues, and collaborate with CAD, RTL, and Design teams to resolve them.
  • Automate validation flows, data collection, and analysis using Python or similar scripting languages
  • Understanding of mobile chip architecture (CPU, GPU, DDR, NOCs, etc.), basic RTL, and exposure to transistor power fundamentals
  • Knowledge of regression and PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) testing, including data analysis and extraction of key metrics.
  • Experience in debugging low-level software and hardware issues, including the use of debug tools like JTAG and kernel debuggers (e.g., Lauterbach Trace32).
  • Excellent programming and scripting skills in preferred languages (C & Python), with knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages and familiarity with prompt engineering
  • Experience in architecting and developing test bench infrastructure for CPU/SoC emulation across different platforms.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, multitasking skills, and understanding of deadline requirements.
  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 6+ months of experience with architecture and design tools.
  • 6+ months of experience with scripting tools and programming languages.
  • 6+ months of experience with design verification methods.
  • Competitive annual discretionary bonus program
  • Opportunity for annual RSU grants
  • Highly competitive benefits package designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play
