About The Position

The Post Production Technician role at Fagron Sterile Services involves compounding ophthalmic and intravenous solutions in a cleanroom environment. This full-time position requires collaboration with other technicians to ensure accurate and safe preparation of sterile compounds, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of Hospital I.V. / clean room / sterile manufacturing compounding experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods while working under a vertical or horizontal hood.
• Capability to wear all required protective wear as per facility SOPs, including mask, gloves, gown, hairnet, and safety goggles.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sterile intravenous admixture compounds based on SOPs.
• Understanding and applying current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), USP Chapter 797, and company policies concerning sterile compounding.
• Performing area clearance and verifying batch supplies, entering data into the computer system.
• Properly using all necessary equipment in the lab for compounding.
• Assembling, inspecting, and verifying compounding components.
• Calibrating and documenting scales and electronic meters accurately.
• Following all safety and USP guidelines for the preparation of compounding I.V. solutions.
