About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation and flow of the hoist station within the powder coat department. The role involves ensuring safe operation of the hoist, stacking chassis efficiently, inspecting wood spacers, and reporting any product defects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift truck operator experience preferred (training available).
• Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
• Must demonstrate clear communication skills.
• Must be able to read and process written communication including work orders, frame prints, and measurements.
• Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must demonstrate competency in coating procedure.
• Must be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises.
• Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including coating gums, pumps, compressors, heating units, tape measures, etc.
• Must be able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds.
• Must possess successful problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, customers, etc.
• Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
• Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoist in a safe manner at all times.
• Stack chassis in a safe and efficient position.
• Inspect that wood spacers are in good/safe condition.
• Report any defect that is present on product.
