About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Family Birth Place. This position involves working with obstetric and gynecological populations, ensuring a family-centered care model, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. You will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and education, while also training new team members and nursing students.

Requirements

• RN License from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills.
• Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate with the interdisciplinary health team to deliver care.
• Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit.
