Post-Op Nurse Tech - 9a - 5:30p - Full-Time
About The Position
As a full-time Post-Op Nurse Tech, you will work Monday - Friday, 9a - 5:30p. This position qualifies for our full-time benefits package as well as our rewarding discretionary quarterly bonuses! The Nurse Technician holds a safety sensitive position and is a competent paraprofessional which assists the registered nurses by assuming responsibility and accountability for direct and indirect patient care. He/she may assist with activities, personal care, comfort measures, maintenance of a safe and clean environment, and certain test/procedures done to a specific patient population (dependent on area) under the direction and supervision of a RN. Supports the nursing and medical staff in an effort to provide optimum patient outcomes.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support certification prior to start date, or class to be taken at OSH within 60 days free of charge.
- Cognitive, technical and interpersonal skills required to deliver direct and indirect care under the direction of a RN.
- Cooperation and strong “team” focus required.
- Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current caregiver practices, which are unit/age specific.
