Requirements

  • Student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, heart anatomy, and fixture/test development preferred
  • Proficiency with Engineering CAD software. SolidWorks preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytical software, such as Matlab and Minitab.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • A passion for medical devices and making a significant positive impact on patients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, record, and perform various failure analyses on systems and components to identify root cause.
  • Establish root cause failure analysis techniques, processes, and test methods to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Support sustaining engineering projects by proposing drawing and specification changes, modifying engineering models and drawings, designing test fixtures, conducting testing, and analyzing data
