About The Position

The Post-Harvest Lead is a lead technician in the day-to-day functions of the post-harvest areas, including post-harvest activities related to trimming, harvesting, packaging, storing finished and unfinished products, dry room breakdown, and anything else that management may need done. The Post Harvest Lead is a self-starter, motivator, detail-oriented candidate, with strong communication skills.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented and motivated Post-Harvest Lead to support the company's cultivation and post-harvest activities. The ideal candidate can adapt to our business model and is a collaborative team player but also a self-starter. Previous cannabis cultivation experience is not required. Role ultimately reports to the Production Operations Manager with oversight from Post-Harvest Supervisors.

Requirements

• Must pass stringent background test requirements of state you will be working in. Age requirements; MA 21, OH 21 and PA 18.
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID card; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform essential job functions for extended periods (8-10 hours per day).
• Frequent activities may include sitting, walking, bending, climbing ladders, reaching, and frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds over a distance of up to 100 feet.

Responsibilities

• This position helps lead the daily coordination and execution of the technician team at the direction of management.
• The Post-Harvest Lead will provide hands-on training for the Post Harvest Technicians who are an integral part of the post-harvest team.
• The Post-Harvest Lead must be able to organize and execute the tasks according to the SOP. No detail is too small, and a strong understanding of all the components needed to carry out each task is necessary for success.
• Properly document product workflows, cleaning, and other activities to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Properly perform and train others in any areas under their direct responsibility which could include activities such as harvesting, trimming, packaging, or inventory management.
• Correctly utilizing appropriate checklists, logs, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitoring environment in post-harvest areas.
• Protecting finished products from contamination, waste or loss.
• Sorting usable products and trim into distinct batches and logging as needed.
• Packaging product and logging as needed.
• Facilitating accurate inventory control at all steps.
• Keep work areas free of clutter and debris.
• Communicate effectively with others in post-harvest and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned
