The Teacher & Administrator Preparation in the College of Education, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for Post-Doctoral Researcher. Assist with the data collection, evaluation, analysis, project management, and recruitment of federally funded research and personnel preparation grants currently awarded to the University of Texas at Arlington College of Education, Curriculum and Instruction Department, Special Education Program. This position is involved in the planning and execution of research and student preparation activities. This is an entry-level or early-career position that reports to the Primary Investigator of federally funded grants. In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

  • Manage multiple projects in accordance with provided timelines.
  • For research grants, this position will assist with implementation and evaluation components of projects.
  • Provide verbal and written communication to team members related to time sensitive tasks.
  • Assist with routine training/ coaching of participants, data collection, written annual reports, manuscript development, and grant writing.
  • For personnel preparation grants, this position will assist interested preservice students through the UTA application processes, assist in the planning and implementation of recruitment activities with the College of Education’s recruitment team, and implement project activities.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • Ph.D. (or ABD ) in special education, school psychology, educational psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Expertise in multi-tiered systems of support such as SWPBIS , prosocial behaviors, and/or providing professional development.
  • Proficient in quantitative methodologies and analysis (e.g., single-case designs, randomized control trials, etc.).
  • Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and knowledgeably, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be willing and able to travel by plane and/or own automobile to conduct business.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management programs) and familiar with electronic communications strategies including email communications.
