The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe. Dr. Lue is a physician-scientist and maintains an active practice as a medical oncologist treating patients with lymphoid malignancies. Dr. Chaudhuri is a Professor in the Immunology Program at Sloan Kettering Institute whose lab studies B-cell immunology and diversification. The Lue and Chaudhuri laboratories are jointly recruiting a post-doctoral research scientist with a strong interest in basic and translational research at the interface of lymphoma biology, molecular biology, and immunology. The successful candidate will lead projects in two interconnected areas: 1. Novel Protein Degraders in B-Cell Malignancies: Investigating the application and mechanism of action of targeted protein degraders in lymphoid cancers, with a focus on characterizing emerging patterns of therapeutic resistance. 2. Cell Membrane Transporter in Drug Resistance and Germinal Center Biology: Our groups have recently discovered a membrane transporter with potential roles in drug resistance in B-cell lymphomas and direct physiological relevance to normal germinal center function. The candidate will pursue mechanistic studies to define its biological significance in both contexts. The research program integrates standard and advanced molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics (including RNA-seq and multi-omic analyses), and in vivo mouse modeling. The candidate will work within a highly collaborative environment and have opportunities to: Interact with investigators across lymphoma biology, immunology, and translational therapeutics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Contribute to correlative science associated with active clinical trials Develop skills bridging fundamental discovery and clinical application.
