About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow supported by a T32 grant to join the Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The research program uses mammalian cell culture and microscopy ‑ based approaches to study aging, stress response, cancer, and vesicle trafficking, with strong translational relevance. The Department promotes innovation, collaboration, and mentorship, and is committed to supporting the professional development of its trainees toward academic or industry research careers. We welcome candidates with a background in cell or molecular biology. Experience with fluorescence or confocal microscopy, GPCR signaling, or membrane trafficking is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to projects supported by strong preliminary data, investigating how a scaffold protein regulates membrane and vesicle trafficking in aging ‑ , cancer ‑ , and skin biology-relevant contexts. Requirements

  • PhD in a biological-related field.
  • Prior successful working experience with tissue cultures and molecular biology techniques.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment
  • Experience with quantitative microscopy-based image analysis
  • Experience with GPCR signaling, receptor trafficking, or cytoskeletal dynamics
  • Familiarity with stem cell biology
  • Knowledge of federal regulations
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn, taking initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Great organizational and communication skills and record keeping abilities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tissue culture, molecular and cell biological experiments
  • Perform microscopy-based imaging (fixed and love-cell) to study membrane and vesicle trafficking
  • Design, plan, and troubleshoot experiments independently.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, including image-based quantification.
  • Summarize data and present findings in weekly discussions, lab meetings, or national/ international conferences
  • Participate in manuscript and grant preparation
