About The Position
The Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate who will be working in the areas of improving forecasts of weather, climate and snowpack, and testing experimental Forecast-Informed Reservoir Operation in the Hydrometeorology Research Group.
Requirements
- PhD in Hydrology, Meteorology, Climate Science or a related field
- Experience in earth system modeling, data assimilation, and remote sensing of land surface variables
- Experience with parallel computing on high performance cluster
- Proficiency in C, Fortran, and Python
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with developing and running high-fidelity earth system/weather models
- A track record of publications in well recognized journals
