About The Position

Under general supervision of the Manager and Clinical Supervisors and according to established policies and procedures, is responsible for the diagnosis and evaluation of mental and emotional disorders of individuals referred by physicians. Administers programs of treatment, interviews and observes patients and selects, administers and interprets intelligence, achievement, interest, personality, neuropsychological and other tests to diagnose and to formulate treatment plans. Provides individual, family and group counseling. Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Participate in research endeavors. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA approved program in accredited, degree granting college or university
  • Completion of pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program
  • Current or obtaining licensure within one year as a Psychologist
  • Familiarity with psychosocial consequences of chronic medical and disabling conditions
  • Experience with individual and family counseling
