Job Description Summary The Post-Doctoral Fellow will assess and treat patients with physical disability due to traumatic injuries or illnesses to assist patients in dealing with emotional reaction to their disability. The post-doctoral fellow will have the option to train in a variety of settings including a major rotation in acute inpatient rehabilitation, with minor rotations in our Day Rehabilitation program, Pain Management Center, Functional Movement Disorder Clinic, and Outpatient Neuropsychology. Within these settings, the post-doctoral fellow obtains patient case history and conducts initial psychological assessments. As clinically indicated, the post-doctoral fellow provides psychotherapy services for individuals, families, and within groups. The post-doctoral fellow additionally provides capacity evaluations, behavioral management plans, co-treatments, and suicide assessments, as needed. The post-doctoral fellow acts as an integral part of the treatment team for their designated rotation.
