We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to become part of our dynamic team in the Computational Sciences Department (gCS) within Genentech's Research & Development division (gRED). The successful candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of the Computational Biology, Translational Medicine and Technology Innovation groups to study cancer biology using deep clinicogenomics data and cutting edge NGS diagnostics. The opportunity includes driving scientific, analytic, and technical innovation in a community of scientific experts in oncology research and computational biology, diving into clinical and genomics data from thousands of patients to interrogate tumor biology, discovering novel targets and biomarkers, and accelerating translational research. The candidate will build or leverage novel artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques for advanced liquid biopsy (ctDNA) and tissue transcriptomic (RNA-seq) data to predict patient tumor biology from a simple blood draw, and will present at external scientific conferences and publish scientific insights from this research in high impact journals.
