About The Position

The Sreenivasan Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct functional MRI studies of working memory. Research in the Sreenivasan Laboratory focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms that support and constrain working memory ability. Our projects involve collaborations with Psychology and Biology faculty at NYUAD and NYU New York, among other international collaborations. The neuroimaging facilities at NYUAD include a 3T Prisma MRI, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking. In addition to supporting the research of the principal investigator, successful candidates will be encouraged to develop independent research projects as part of training for an independent research career.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
• Strong background in functional neuroimaging.
• Experience in decoding and/or encoding models.
• Strong computational skills.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
• Strong publication record in the field of working memory or a related area.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with recurrent neural networks.
