About The Position
The Peng Lab at NC State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to lead innovative research focused on the genetic and epigenetic regulation of human immune responses. This position is housed within the College of Veterinary Medicine and is part of the NC State Bioinformatics Research Center. The successful candidate will employ data-driven strategies to explore the immune system and its interactions with infections, utilizing both high-throughput approaches and advanced molecular techniques. As a key member of the research team, the postdoctoral fellow will engage in collaborative efforts with scientists from diverse backgrounds, including computational biologists, molecular geneticists, and immunologists. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative research environment and is eager to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of immunology. The fellow will be responsible for presenting research findings at scientific meetings and authoring primary research articles, thereby contributing to the academic community. In addition to leading research initiatives, the fellow will assist in generating research hypotheses and contribute preliminary data for research proposals. The candidate will also play a vital role in mentoring and training other professionals, graduate students, and undergraduates within the lab and through collaborative projects.
