This position is in the laboratory of Dr. Chengwen Li in the Gene Therapy Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The general research interest is to develop adeno-associated virus ( AAV ) vectors to treat various diseases such as neurodegeneration disorders and liver diseases using animal and other research models, and to study the interaction of AAV vectors with host immune response in AAV transduced cells in a hope of designing more effective and safer AAV vectors for clinical applications. The projects will be translational potential and clinical impacts.
