About The Position

The O’Brien lab has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the influence of nerves and nerve-derived signals on kidney development. The lab focuses on understanding how cellular crosstalk and signaling influences developmental processes and how perturbations alter cellular programs. We utilize genetic mouse models for these studies along with molecular and physiological analyses. The applicant will interrogate kidney phenotypes with advanced imaging techniques (confocal and light-sheet microscopy), transcriptomics, and other molecular assays.

Requirements

  • Experience with genetic mouse models
  • single cell sequencing
  • confocal and light-sheet microscopy
  • familiarity with kidney biology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with microscopy image analysis
  • mouse models are preferred
