About The Position

A post-doctoral position is available in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering Department, based at UNC Chapel Hill. This research position will lead research in advanced ultrasound imaging technologies. Potential projects include super-resolution imaging, functional neurological imaging, molecular imaging, and super-harmonic imaging. Candidates will lead projects, conduct research, mentor junior team members, and write manuscripts, present at conferences, and contribute to grant proposals.

Requirements

• Specific areas of knowledge which will be useful will include biomedical acoustics, physical acoustics, beamforming, ultrasound imaging, fabrication techniques, MATLAB , and/or preclinical studies.
• The ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to manage multiple projects
• The ability to learn new skills quickly
• Good communication skills
• Hands-on skills
