The Biomechanics of Blood Lab at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) is led by Dr. Valerie Tutwiler and utilizes multidisciplinary approaches to tackle fundamental questions related to understanding what causes bleeding and thrombosis in patients. Dr. Valerie Tutwiler is seeking applications from qualified individuals for a full-time postdoctoral associate position working on NIH funded projects aimed at blood clot formation, mechanics, and clot stability. The position will begin as early as November 1, 2025 and will support ongoing research in the Tutwiler laboratory. The primary role of a successful candidate will be coordinating patient samples and developing testing methods to quantify large scale bulk mechanics in blood clots both plasma and whole blood. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and further availability of grant funds to support the position.
