About The Position

The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all post-closing activities related to escrow transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. This includes ensuring that all documents are properly executed and delivered and that all funds are accurately disbursed. This position is based at the office location specified in the job posting.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of title processing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the real estate transaction including knowledge about the different aspects of the "life of a file."
  • Self-motivated - able to work independently with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high volume paperless environment.
  • People first approach – provide exceptional customer service throughout the transaction process.
  • Technical - ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems with a high level of competency.
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information thoughtfully while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Oral/Written Communication – ability to speak clearly and persuasively to advise and resolve issues.
  • Quality Assurance - demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while monitoring your own work to ensure quality.
  • Adaptability - adapt to changes in the work environment, prioritize and manage competing demands, deal with frequent changes or unexpected events while remaining resilient.
  • Building Collaborative Relationships - maintain and strengthen partnerships with agents and colleagues while providing information, assistance, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify the accuracy of all closing documents.
  • Coordinate with the branch to obtain any missing information or documentation.
  • Verify wire confirmations, certified checks, and confirm that all funds have been received, and files are balanced.
  • Complete Branch Wire Checklist.
  • Initiate all wire requests with the National Wire Desk.
  • Disburse funds according to the closing statement and ensure that all parties receive the correct amounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete post-closing files.
  • Process 1099’s.
  • Handle post-closing issues such as stop payments, outstanding checks, and refund issuance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Escrow Officers within an assigned market.
  • Identify Escrow Officer needs and take proactive steps to maintain positive experiences, as well as resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide post-closing support with critical escalations
