About The Position

The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for managing all post-closing activities related to escrow transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in document execution, recording, and fund disbursement. This role requires a strong understanding of real estate transactions and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Requirements

• Demonstrated understanding of the real estate transaction including knowledge about the different aspects of the 'life of a file.'
• Self-motivated - able to work independently with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems with a high level of competency.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly advise and resolve any issues.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work to ensure quality.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service roles
• Familiarity with escrow processes and documentation

Responsibilities

• Responsible for issuing final checks per transaction
• Ensuring accurate mailing/overnight addresses
• Confirm all required supporting documentation is included with payment
• Manages returned payments and/or funds as applicable
• Coordinate with branch to obtain any missing information or documentation
• Verify wire confirmations, certified checks and confirm that all funds have been received and file is balanced
• Initiate all wire requests with National Wire Desk
• Disburse funds according to the closing statement and ensure all parties receive the correct amounts
• Process 1099's
• Handle post-closing issues such as payoffs, escrow shortages, stop payments, outstanding checks, refund issues
• Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the transaction.
