About The Position

The Post Closing CEMA/COOP Specialist plays a crucial role in the Post Closing team at CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), assisting in the day-to-day operations that ensure the smooth processing of CEMA and Cooperative loan files. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks including reporting, preparing, and sending communications to clients, as well as uploading documentation to loan files within the Loan Origination System (LOS). The specialist will also be tasked with requesting missing documentation from third parties and providing necessary documentation to investors, clients, and other departments, while collaborating with attorney offices for CEMA and Cooperative loans. In addition to these responsibilities, the Post Closing CEMA/COOP Specialist will assist with the shipping of Post Consummation Closing Disclosures, obtain trailing documents, and handle other projects or duties as assigned. The role requires monitoring a suspended closed loan pipeline that necessitates the shipment of CEMA and CO-OP loan files, performing due diligence reviews of CEMA and CO-OP documentation for accuracy, and completing data input for the issuance of CEMA/CO-OP documents. The specialist will also identify and obtain missing items required to complete the CEMA or CO-OP collateral package, document these missing items within the LOS system, and correspond regarding these items. Assembling CEMA and CO-OP collateral packages and shipping them to investors, as well as shipping documents from remote post-closing staff to clients, are also key responsibilities. The specialist will serve as the primary contact for settlement agents, ensuring that CEMA and CO-OP documents are signed by the company and returned to the settlement agent for filing. Furthermore, the role involves documenting the loan file for the receipt and shipment of CEMA and CO-OP collateral packages, imaging all documentation into the LOS system prior to shipping, and maintaining communication with clients and third parties related to post-closing items. The specialist will act as a liaison between the Post Closing Department and other internal partners, process collateral released from the custodian for refinance transactions, and assist the Closing Department with company-signed documents needed for recording. Meeting daily production goals set by management and adhering to internal Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines is essential, as is maintaining customer confidence through quality service and confidentiality of all files and information.
