About The Position

The Post Closing Agent in Commercial Operations at 1st Source Bank is responsible for the accurate booking of loans and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience necessary, but prior commercial or consumer loan experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and real property perfection preferred.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping and file management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior commercial or consumer loan experience preferred.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and real property perfection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up new loans and maintain renewed loans on the loan system according to customer documentation.
• Complete maintenance for customer or product-specific reporting and billing, making corrections as needed.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure they are balanced.
• Examine loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and proper execution of signatures.
• Review documents and due diligence requirements according to perfection guidelines.
• Determine adherence to credit approval and applicable regulations.
• Notify Relationship Manager and set up system follow-up for items needed to complete the closing package.
• Perfect liens on real and personal property collateral.
• Complete all compliance training and understand applicable laws and regulations.
