About The Position

The POST Certified Background Investigator role at TruView BSI, LLC involves conducting thorough background investigations for public safety positions in accordance with Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) guidelines. Requirements

• POST Background Certification with proof of successful completion of the POST-Certified background investigations course (minimum 32 hours).
• Experience conducting law enforcement or firefighter background investigations.
• Excellent writing skills, particularly in narrative reporting.
• Superior computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database research.
• Ability to administer and coordinate multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all investigative components in the POST guideline background process.
• Review candidate files and conduct face-to-face and phone interviews with candidates, employers, family, friends, and neighbors.
• Perform file reviews at police agencies and employers.
• Write clear and concise final reports compliant with federal and state consumer reporting laws, including POST guidelines.
• Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and management.
• Manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines through effective case management and prioritization.
• Travel as required, including occasional overnight travel.
