About The Position

Modern Family Law , a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking 3Ls graduating in December and sitting for the February 2026 Bar exam , or graduating in May and sitting for the July 2026 Bar Exam , to become Post-Bar Law Clerks/Associates in Washington . This role is hybrid, but you must sit for the Bar, and plan to reside, in the state you are applying to. Program Details: Post-Bar Law Clerks at Modern Family Law will join the firm after sitting for the Bar Exam, and receive training and mentorship from our devoted Learning & Development team in preparation for their transition to an Associate Attorney after successful passage of the bar. Modern Family Law offers you the following opportunities: Remote First Setting with Brick & Mortar Space Available (in-person as required by courts & clients). Low billable hours requirement (100 per month) as an Associate Attorney. Direct client contact. The ability to truly develop substantive litigation skills early in your career. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school completed by June 2026
  • Completion of the State Bar Exam in February 2026 OR July 2026
  • Attain a passing score on the MPRE prior to the commencement of the Post-Bar Law Clerkship
  • Submission and approval of Character & Fitness application by the State Bar
  • Submission of official transcript, cover letter, and references.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Family Law Clinics is a plus.
  • Mock Trial experience is a plus.
