About The Position

The Post Adopt Coordinator at Catholic Charities North Dakota is a full-time role focused on providing essential post-adoption and guardianship services to families. This position is part of the North Dakota Post Adopt Network/Adults Adopting Special Kids (AASK) program, emphasizing the importance of supporting adoptive and guardianship families throughout their journey, both before and after finalization.

Requirements

• Valid ND Social Work License is required.
• Experience working with adoptive and/or guardianship families is necessary.
• Knowledge and experience of the child welfare system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-adoption and guardianship services and supports to families pre and post finalization.
• Engage in parent education to empower adoptive and guardianship families.
• Conduct case management activities for children and families.
• Make recommendations and referrals to appropriate services.
• Network with collaborative agencies within the assigned region.
• Facilitate support groups for adoptive and guardianship families.
• Plan monthly activities and events for families.
• Assist in ongoing training and development of support services for adoptive families, guardianship families, birth families, and adoptees.
• Maintain a high level of cultural competence within the role.
