About The Position

Do you love taking on big challenges that require exceptionally creative solutions? Do you deeply understand how an incredible camera experience should work? As part of our Camera Systems group, you'll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we'll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras. The Camera Systems Engineering Group is responsible for the systems-level analysis, design and development of new camera features and technologies for performance enhancement. The team is seeking an exceptional position sensing systems engineer with broad skills to lead product and technology development projects.

Requirements

• PhD in EE, ECE, Engineering Physics, or similar.
• 10+ years of work/industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply systems engineering concepts and analysis.
• Experience with statistical data analysis tools like JMP.
• Experience with magneto-static simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
• Familiarity with cameras, optics, and control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across groups.
• Self-motivated and able to lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative technology for camera systems in Apple products.
• Collaborate with teams across Apple for research, design, development, testing, and qualification of camera hardware.
• Lead product and technology development projects in the Camera Systems Engineering Group.
• Conduct systems-level analysis and design for new camera features and technologies.
• Document requirements in Engineering Requirements Specifications.
