About The Position

We are seeking an experienced POS Tester to join our QA team. This role requires deep expertise in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, retail workflows, and software testing best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with POS platforms, and the ability to define and execute comprehensive testing strategies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in POS testing.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and POS workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Oracle Retail, NCR, Verifone, or similar.
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience in:
  • Test planning and writing test cases/scripts.
  • Estimating test effort and preparing test schedules.
  • Test execution and defect lifecycle management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage time, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting for POS testing.
  • Exposure to mobile POS and self-checkout systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define testing objectives, scope, and strategy for POS systems.
  • Develop detailed test plans and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Execute test cases thoroughly according to the test plan.
  • Track and manage defects throughout their lifecycle—from identification and reporting to resolution.
  • Ensure timely closure of defects and maintain quality standards.
  • Analyze test results and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Provide clear insights on test coverage, defect trends, and resolution status.
  • Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with development, business, and operations teams to ensure seamless testing and issue resolution.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide QA updates.
