SUMMARY: Develops, tests and implements new POS features, modules and hardware solutions. Programs POS menus and prices. Implements system configuration changes as deemed necessary by the business. Supports roll-out of new restaurant technologies. Performs QA testing on all POS change requests and menu/pricing updates. Troubleshoots POS problems and works with Help Desk to resolve. Maintains documentation of processes, procedures and system configurations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Program the POS system to incorporate new menus, menu items and pricing as required to support change requests, periodic price increases, limited time offers (LTOs) and new store openings. Map new menu items in the reporting database and clear daily POS mapping issues. Maintain separate price tiers and configuration settings by brand, market, region and/or store type, including sales tax rates/rules and kitchen routing schemes. Manage POS data sets and configuration files centrally utilizing enterprise management tools. Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to ensure the programming changes provide the desired operational results in the restaurants. Follow all requested changes through established QA and change management processes. Coordinate & perform QA testing of all restaurant-level changes prior to deployment. Maintain the online ordering system and integration with restaurant POS systems. Support the development and testing of new restaurant technologies such as POS, online ordering & catering systems, line-busting, kiosks, features, digital menu boards, mobile apps, loyalty programs, etc. Deploy approved configuration/software updates to the restaurants timely and accurately. Coordinate with Operations and Training on field communications regarding system updates. Maintain documentation as directed by IT Management for SOX/PCI compliance, operational procedures, change documentation and system configuration. Keep abreast of new technologies. Evaluate and report on new technologies and initiatives as directed by IT Management Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company material and information Keep Manager and other key personnel informed of assignment and system status via timely communication and weekly written status reports. Weekends, holiday and nighttime support will be required as necessary. Occasional travel. Other duties as assigned.
