About The Position

We are looking for a motivated and skilled POS Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. We are seeking an experienced and proactive POS Administrator with deep expertise in DRB Point-of-Sale systems to support and optimize our car wash operations. This key role will oversee the administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our POS infrastructure, while also leading POS-related projects and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering DRB POS systems in the car wash industry or a similar retail environment.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills (hardware, software, network).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and third-party technology partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel to car wash sites as needed. Perform remote implementations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with POS LPR technologies.
  • Familiarity with car wash tunnel control systems.
  • Experience in automotive services, including full detailing, interior cleaning, oil changes, and emissions/state inspections.
  • Background in IT support or O365 systems administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain DRB POS systems across multiple car wash locations, ensuring uptime, accuracy, and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues with POS systems. Serve as the escalation point for complex POS support issues.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of POS system upgrades, integrations, and rollouts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for POS vendors (e.g., Micrologic, DRB). Maintain positive and productive relationships to ensure timely support, updates, and escalations.
  • Provide training to staff on POS systems and procedures. Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and support materials.
  • Analyze POS usage and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Recommend and implement solutions to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in rotational on-call support, addressing after-hours IT needs. (Weekends: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST (currently). On-call support is only required for critical issues, and the volume of issues during these hours is typically very low).
  • Provide IT support and administrative assistance as needed, including helpdesk tasks and system administration responsibilities delegated by the VP of IT, such as managing O365 end-user accounts, configuring access and permissions, supporting and deploying IT hardware, and troubleshooting technical issues for staff.
